Accessibility Statement
CodeFrog is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve these goals.
Our Commitment
At CodeFrog, we believe that technology should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We are dedicated to making our website and application usable by all people, including those with disabilities. This commitment extends to both our public website and the CodeFrog application itself.
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our standard for accessibility. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone.
Current Status
Website Accessibility: Our website (codefrog.app) has been tested for accessibility compliance and currently meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards✓ Compliant. We regularly audit our website using automated accessibility testing tools and manual testing to ensure ongoing compliance. Automated tools detect only a subset of WCAG requirements; full conformance is verified through manual audits and assistive-technology testing.
Accessibility Testing Tool: CodeFrog includes a built-in accessibility checker that helps developers test their own websites and applications for WCAG compliance. This tool uses axe-core, the industry-leading automated accessibility testing engine, to identify accessibility issues across WCAG Levels A, AA, and AAA.
Application Accessibility: The CodeFrog desktop application (macOS and Windows) has been updated with comprehensive accessibility support targeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance✓ Compliant. Key accessibility features include:
- Full VoiceOver support on macOS and Narrator support on Windows
- Keyboard navigation for all features using Tab, arrow keys, Enter, and Escape
- High-contrast mode support (activates automatically with OS accessibility settings)
- Screen reader labels on all interactive elements (buttons, images, progress indicators)
- WCAG AA color contrast ratios maintained across all themes
- Automated accessibility testing integrated into CI/CD pipeline
Completed Accessibility Improvements
The following accessibility improvements have been implemented across the CodeFrog application:
- Keyboard Navigation: All functionality is accessible via keyboard without requiring mouse interaction. Focus traversal groups ensure logical tab order across all screens.
- Screen Reader Support: Full compatibility with VoiceOver (macOS) and Narrator (Windows). All interactive elements have descriptive labels, and dynamic content changes are announced via live regions.
- High Contrast Mode: Dedicated high-contrast light and dark themes that activate automatically when the operating system's high-contrast setting is enabled.
- Focus Indicators: Clear and visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation across all interactive elements.
- Semantic Labels: All images have descriptive semantic labels. All buttons, icon buttons, and interactive elements have tooltips and accessibility labels.
- Color Contrast: All text meets WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) across light, dark, and high-contrast themes.
- Progress Indicators: All loading states and progress indicators include screen reader announcements with live region updates.
- Form Accessibility: Proper labeling and error messaging for all form inputs.
